As a student you need to join the service just once, and you join a class by entering the key number for the course (on the home page for InternetLogic as well as on the syllabus page for your course). Please make sure you include your name and email address, and I strongly recommend that in the personal profile you select the option to have personal messages forwarded to your email address.
On the home page for each class at Nicenet are links to conferencing (for discussion), link sharing (for Internet sources that might be useful), documents (for essays to be submitted, which may or may not be visible to others), a class schedule (for directions for various assignments), and a list of class members. Take the time to become familiar with these links.
You may join or leave a class at any time. If there are unacceptable postings (personal attacks, anything that might be understood as harassment, obscenity, etc.), I will delete them. Also, a few weeks after a deadline I may also delete an assignment and the submissions connected with it.
